More Hairspray Tips to keep those tresses healthy
Awhile back we gave you some hairspray tips to help you properly use your hairspray. Well, here are a few more hairspray facts and tips that will really help too.
A lighter spray is called by the professional a “working spray” means you can work with your hair and come back and change it later. It allows you to build body while still allowing flexibility.
A finishing spray means it is done and in there to stay.
Redken’s Quickdry #18 has humidity resistance in it which is super helpful during the humid summers of KC.
Another hairspray tip - keep the can 10-12 inches away from your head when spraying, there is a reason for this, the alcohol in the can is used as a propellant and if the can is held at the proper distance the alcohol evaporates and never touches the hair. Scalp issues can result if sprayed to close, this can be itchy scalp or mild break-outs along the hairline; by changing your hairspray habits this will clear up. Also, using a clarifying shampoo such as Redken cleansing cream or Unites weekender you can remove any build up.
