Too Many Tangles? 4 Hair Detangling Tips
It’s that dreaded part of having a beautiful head full of hair, detangling. Let’s face it, it’s not the fun part of our hair care regimen, especially if your hair is prone to tangling. Well when you don’t have time to make an appointment at The Last Tangle and you need to wash and detangle at home, here are 5 tips that will help you make the process a lot easier.
1. Before you wash your hair, make sure to brush it to get rid of any loose hairs or dirt out.
2. With wet hair, section hair into 4 sections with wide tooth comb. Comb each section starting at the ends then slowly moving up to the roots (great to do while conditioning).
3. If detangling while blow drying, use a wide tooth comb attachment and make sure to blow dry one section at a time starting from the bottom of the hair, make sure to blow dry the hair straight down.
4. For those who have kids: if gum is stuck in your child’s hair, use peanut butter, olive oil, or even mayonnaise and apply to the gum to soften it first, which will make it easier to work out.
