Lipstick Done Right

Gloss is great, but lipstick is making a comeback in a major way. If you’ve visited Allure.com lately, you’ve might have stumbled across the article “The Ten Commandments of Lipstick”.  This guide is excellent because it helps women use lipstick they way it was intended -” to make mouths look strong, rich and thoroughly defined”. Take a look at the first three commandments of lipstick done right.

1. Start Fresh. Try to exfoliate your lips once or twice a week followed with a good balm.

2. Avoid too much Sparkle. Don’t go overboard with the shimmer. The lovely light reflection should come from the moisture in the formula, and not metallic pigments.

3. Find the Right Bright. The bright shade you choose should be based on your lips natural color instead of your skin tone. “Women with pale lips look best in cherry red or coral; for naturally reddish lips, try hot pink, orange, or cranberry; for dark lips, brick red and burgundy are ideal.”
