The Big Hearts behind the Hair

Last Tangle is a salon that cares. Because we care, involvement in charity events like Shave to Save make it possible for us to share our talents and expertise with other individuals who care about people. This week, we wanted to highlight one of those individuals. Bonner resident Cathy Jennings is one of the big hearts behind the hair.

Jennings was one of 28 people who had their heads shaved during the event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in Kansas City, Mo., a temporary housing facility for those battling cancer.

“It’s such a great facility,” Jennings said of Hope Lodge prior to the first swipe of the electric hair clippers across her short, light blond hair. “And people so desperately need that help at that point in time, that it seemed like shaving my head was an easy thing.”

From all of us at Last Tangle, thank you to Cathy Jennings and all of the Shavees who parted with their precious hair to help fight cancer. Read more information on how Clippers help fight Cancer.
