Spotlight Editorial Team of the Year

Last fall, Last Tangle Salon owner, Jen Thomas put together a team to compete in “Spotlight Editorial Team of the Year”
Jen did the hairstyle and David Bickley captured the image of dancer Amanda Nicole Smith on camera. The challenge was to compose on film, and in an essay, a tribute to the Alvin Ailey dance troupe. Jen chose to use Ailey’s composition ‘The Long White Scarf’ as her inspiration, telling the story of African American women and their story or perseverance.
The team was recognized at Kansas City Fashion Week for their team work and finished inspiration.
